Lloyd Miller is the founder / chief songwriter of the Deedle Deedle Dees, America's Ultimate Teaching Band. Families around the country know him as Ulysses S. Dee, the frontman of the wild, interactive, and information-packed "rock-n-roll classroom" that is a Deedle Deedle Dees concert.

Many kids and parents in New York, however, know Lloyd simply as "sing-a-long man" because of his weekly community sing-a-longs. Mixing traditional tunes with stripped-down versions of Deedle Deedle Dees favorites, Lloyd's sing-a-longs are an opportunity for kids and their accompanying adults to sing, scream, clap, march, dance, jump... and most importantly just enjoy being together.

Over the month of November 2010, he recorded most of his weekly sing-a-longs at the Knitting Factory (Williamsburg, Brooklyn), the Moxie Spot (Brooklyn Heights), and the Tea Lounge (Park Slope, Brooklyn).

"This album collects 12 songs that I think best capture the spirit of these events. You'll hear crying babies, squeaky furniture, people talking on cell phones, singing voices of all types and qualities -- in other words, these recordings sound like my actual sing-a-longs rather than studio products.
