Sing Along with Lloyd 2009

about: Here are a bunch of songs that I sing every week at the two community singalongs I do in Brooklyn. I'll keep adding more whenever I feel like recording them.

For years, people who come to these singalongs have been looking at the track listings on the backs of my CDs (albums by my band, the Deedle Deedle Dees) and asking "Where's Old MacDonald?" For years I've been saying things like "Oh, I like singing that song with you guys, but with my band I do all original stuff." These answers are usually met with a look of confusion and another question like: "How come you don't make a CD with 'Wheels on the Bus' and that song about raindrops and all that stuff so we can play it at home?"

So, here they are... all the songs people actually want to hear. Most of these recordings were done in one take and barely edited. It wasn't just laziness -- I've always liked the sound of very rough demo recordings and before I got really busy with the Deedle Deedle Dees, I used to make a bunch of living room albums featuring songs I'd just written, unfinished songs, improvised material, etc. It's fun
